Spotlight doesn't work

I can't find things in OmniFocus with Spotlight!

I have rebuilt the Spotlight index with the help of Onyx.

What is wrong? :((

I've had success with Spotless from FixAMacSoftware -- and when I ran it just now after having Onyx delete my Spotlight index, what it reported suggests that Onyx might not be doing the right thing in all cases.

Ok, I'll try to do a manual Spotlight Index removal. I report back later.

To rebuild the Spotlight index for a drive, just add the drive to the privacy pane in the Spotlight system preference, then click OK. Then re-open it and remove it, and the drive will be indexed.
