Would upgrading my graphics card improve screen refresh times in OG 5 Pro when zooming or moving around within a complex drawing?
I do large scale architectural D-size drawings and find that the screen refreshes begin to slow as the drawing complexity increases. It's not unusable by any means, but probably is dramatically impacting productivity when measured over time.
Don't see massive CPU, memory, or disk utilization. Using a Mac Pro (early 2008) with stock hardware other than memory at 6GB. Stock ATI video card with 256MB of RAM and Apple 30" display.
Thinking a few hundred spent on a new Christmas video card would quickly be recovered in gained productivity assuming an improvement with screen refresh times.
Thanks in advance for any comments.
