Feature Suggestion: Verify Date Input

For almost every task I enter into OmniFocus, I manually add a date by adding something like 'Today 18:00'.

Sometimes, my date input is wrong, for example because I use the wrong language (my Mac OS X runs in English but I use German formats and have therefore to enter weekdays in German). As a result, OmniFocus sometimes leaves the date field empty or transforms my input into a completely useless date (usually something like January 1 a very long time ago).

In such situation, I would appreciate if OmniFocus could ask whether I had really intended to enter the empty or long ago passed date.
