Help!

So the other day was my first time using this app and it worked great. Today I open it up, start using the outline tool (as I did the other day) and it just keeps stacking boxes horizontally, so instead of a tree of items branching out downwards, it just goes Level 1 > Level 2 > Level 3 and so on and all the boxes are in one row. I've restarted the program and my computer, and I have no idea why it's doing this... it's Pro 4.1.1

Show the Outline drawer and select the shapes (in the drawer) you want to be children and tab them to the level you want:
