Sure there are plenty of FTP programs out there. For me the problem is the free ones suck, and the paid ones don't like to let you try them fully.
Currently I'm using FireFTP which is a plugin for Firefox. It's less than stellar, but it doesn't crash like every other program I've tried.
Anyway, just a suggestion/request.

I fear there's not enough market for an OmniFTP. I've finally landed at Yummy FTP and am quite satisfied with its configurability, feature set and the UI. And I think you can try it out fully before placing your order. I've ditched Interarchy because of its horrible UI for FTP and only keep using its quite cool "Net" tools.

The latest versions of Cyberduck are quite nice, albeit slow at times. It's been very reliable in my experience.

But, what you want is MacFusion:

The beta is SSSSSOOOOOOOOOO nice that I immediately ponied up $5 to see it come to completion. You must install Google's MacFuse first either via google
http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/
or via fink, if you already have fink running.
MacFusion mounts any FTP or SFTP account as a volume. And, it works as promised.
MacFusion IS beta! I had a kernel panic when I forgot to unmount an SFTP volume and changed networks. Otherwise, it has worked exactly as promised so far. This is the application that will make an (S)FTP client totally obsolete!
