I'm the kinda guy who creates a lot of tasks, then banishes most of them out of focus by postponing them a day or week. The +1d (etc) text shorthand is very useful, but I still find myself typing this over and over for lots of tasks.

What would be nice (for me, anyway) is a pop-up menu for a task or group of tasks that lists a few convenient choices; perhaps +1h, +1d, +1w. Or perhaps a few prefab AppleScript macros for the same functionality that come ready to go with the program.

typing just "1d" should be the same as "+1d".

That's only 2 keystrokes, I'm not sure we can make a hot key with any fewer.

I was thinking that you right-click a task (or, more importantly, selected group of tasks) and have a menu item "set due date +1d".

Thanks for the no-plus-sign tip though!

Oh, I see, like you want to postpone a group of tasks by a week... yeah, I can see that.

Post in the "extras" forum and you might get one of the scripters to help out :)

I didn't realize leaving the plus sign off would work either ; )
