I love the new preference of grabbing OmniFocus inbox items from an incoming email.

One problem I have with this is I have a work computer and a home computer. I shuttle my file between home and work through a usb drive. The file stays on my drive and I open it from there.

If I send an email from my iPhone to my home computer, and I have my file open at my work computer, the inbox item will be added to an incorrect OmniFocus file. A non active file.

With the advent of third party aps for iPhone, sometime in Feb 2008, my hope is an omnifocus app will be on the iPhone. Which would mean some sync services for OmniFocus being added.

If OmniFocus added the sync services now... I could sync to my .mac account from home & work, and OmniFocus would have the development work ready for iPhone syncing in Feb.

This is also something I'd like to see…

In a separate thread Ken Case indicated that he is using folder<-->folder syncing of the ~/Library/Application Support/OmniFocus/OmniFocus.ofocus "file" (folder, really) between three different machines.

I just posted a reply to him there asking how he handles the issue of which machine processes the e-mail; let's see what he says…

I've been using BusySync for iCal which does a wonderful job of syncing my laptop and desktop whenever they're on a local network. How neat it would be to be able to work on OF at night on the laptop, and be ready to go on the desktop in the morning;-)

Does anybody know if OF can reside on a thumbdrive and move from computer to computer? If so, BusySync would be great, and though email came on one computer (desktop), those action items would be synced with the laptop. I'm guessing that the OF file references to do items etc. on the two computers would allow one to move back and forth with that part of the structure. Hmmm... I'll have to try!
