I just placed an order today from http://store.pchcables.com/.
Each time I added an item to my cart, I got a new tab.
Each time I clicked Continue Shopping, I got a new tab.
This isn't the behavior I'd expect. I'd expect to have a single tab/window for my entire transaction.
I do not see this spawning behavior in both Camino and Safari/WebKit nightlies. I don't believe that OW 5.1 and previous have this problem.
I'm running SP11 on a MacBook Pro 10.4.6 with all current updates.
My tab preferences are to open links from other applications in a new tab and to open links to other sites in a new tab.
