Oops!

I totally mis-understood that "384" was how much OmniWeb was using.

Firefox/Minefield (52MB).

I just launched OmniWeb and opened a set of tabs. Uses 270MB (6000MB virtual). Seems to be about 1:2 and haven't watched to see it it gradually 'eats' more memory or just reaches and stays there.

I did run into a web site, that seemed to have corrupted OmniWeb and I eventually had to drag a new copy from the DMG, which fixed whatever problems I was having (very slow and sluggish).

The current top memory allocations on this machine:
Photoshop 668MB real, 1.82GB vm
OW 576MB real, 1.08GB vm
Firefox (and I've only had three sites open) 395MB real, 875MB vm
WindowServer 310MB real, 932MB vm
kernel_task 280MB real, 1.78MB vm

sp12 seems to (currently) have a more reasonable memory usage on my system Real 129, virtual 504.

It all depends on the sites that get visited. I switched to a workspace that I know is a hog:
OmniWeb 556MB real, 1.06GB VM.

Sure, it was just an example. It's just that up to now, I haven't had as much trouble with sp12 as I've had in the past where OW seems to use more and more RAM as time went by (which doesn't mean the problem is fixed... but it's a good sign :) ),
