About:blank issue

From the release notes:
Error pages now correctly display the URL the error came from instead of "about:blank"

Not always. For example, if one tries to load a site that is currently down (server not responding) eventually it will just timeout. The screen is blank. When I hit reload, I immediately go to about:blank. This is in SP12.

Anyone else see this issue?

Same here. For example, digg was offline for a short period, and it kept driving me nuts trying to reload!

same. if loading the site times out, pressing the Reload toolbar button navigates to a blank 'about:blank' page.

fortunately, I can hit Back and then Reload to correctly reload the page.

I experience it, too. I would say it's the majority of the time.

I got that too but not when trying to load a page that timed out. It's google (I use personalized page) and it just displayed a blank page with titled "Loading…" and when I hit reload, it displayed about:blank on the address bar.
