View Full Version : sp12: .Mac slideshow opens two windows as if one

When I click on a picture on someone's .Mac home page, and it spawns a new window for the slideshow, OmniWeb opens two windows instead of one and places them smack on top of each other, not even cascading as is standard. Not only is this improper practice, it's confusing for a user who thought he closed the slideshow only to be presented with the same window again.

Clicking Start Slideshow does not behave this way; one has to click on an actual photo to see it. Good thing the two windows behave independently as they should; if I click next in one window, the other window holds its original content.

I discovered this at http://homepage.mac.com/bschreck/Furniture/PhotoAlbum10.html

I just noticed the same bug with freshmeat:
http://freshmeat.net/projects/gallue/?branch_id=64645&release_id=228795
clicking on the screenshot thumbnail spawns a new window, which then spawns a second window that has the screenshot.

Funny, works as expected for me.

I got only one new window containing a blown up screenshot. Not the same behavior as the slideshow.

I also just got two windows (cascaded, though) when clicking an attachment in .Mac webmail.
