In MS Outlook and Mac Entourage I could just think of something simple that needed to be done that didn't require a project - ie "buy some milk" and just throw it on the flat list for context of "Errands" - as I understand Omni Focus won't let me add directly to a context list - I have to enter "buy some milk" on a single action list in the Library and then move it to the context of "Errands" - arrrggggh - any ideas on a better way?

thanks
Kevin

I have a single-action list called 'Get from the supermarket' which has a default context (set via the Inspector) of @Errands.

Then, if I add an action via the inbox or quick entry, I only need to assign it to the relevant single-action list.

Hope that helps.

If you have a default single action list, and you have the preferences set to automatically clean up items created with Quick Entry, you can just use Quick Entry to create these actions: Type the action name, tab to Project and select your default single action list, tab to Context and select the context, and then Save.

Type the action name, tab to Project and select your default single action list, tab to Context and select the context, and then Save.
Not that this is a big difference, but It should be sufficient to only type/select the project if there is a default context assigned to this project. Saves a second or two :)
