IOS 5.1.1 (9B206)

Thank-you for the help of this forum. I have been an enthusiastic user of OmniFocus for some time, and want to use Siri for task input.

This is a new phone for me, and I have owned the previous generations of the iPhone. I can get Siri to add tasks to my Reminders list, and I can get OmniFocus to recognize those tasks in my Inbox. However it will only work for about 5 minutes. For some reason OmniFocus truncates my iCloud password.

If I re enter my password, it will work for another 5 minutes, then revert to the truncated password.

I have restarted each program, rebooted the phone, and nothing seems to have helped the problem.

Thanks for the input.

A colleague and I were given iPads and we are trying to figure how best to take advantage of them. We bought OmniFocus as a way to try and keep track of all the stuff that pops up in our world. We are the only software developers in this group and it seems that lots of folks have projects they want us to work on etc.

With all that said I am trying to figure out how best to use OmniFocus to track of everything. I get the inbox that makes sense but what I am having a little trouble with is projects, contexts and actions. For example, we have two software products that we work on. Each one has some enhancements that need to made. Usually, but not always, enhancements are tied to a particular customer.

So would you create a project or context for the product? I am leaning toward context. Since work may be for a particular customer that sounds like a project to me. Obviously, there are usually hard end dates but open start dates. I think I can set dates on projects? The work needing to be done to complete a project sounds like actions to me.

So you folks better versed in GTD than I can you tell me if I am even close in a reasonable approach?

Thanks,

If I had document with a canvases that were 17x22 and 4.5x5.8, and they were each set to print on a single printer sheet, then I could show an object at different magnifications without resizing it.

All I have figured out is to have different canvas sizes but only one page-setup for the whole document, so that canvas sizes are all print at the same magnification.

Many people do this:
They create an additional folder called "Maybe/on hold" and put corresponding projects into it.
But I do not agree with it and here's why:

I've already set up a project is on hold. Why should I also move it into another folder to indicate that the project is meant to be handled as "Someday/Maybe" (David Allen's theory). I'd rather leave the project in a related folder and have a possibility to review all the projects on hold together.

Why? What's the purpose of this? When I pause some single actions under a general list of single actions, what I wish to achieve is to put those on hold (without changing their contexts), and continue working on other actions on that list.
