Poll: Is OmniFocus in your iPhone's dock?

No: 0

in iphone dock, bumps safari

note: periodic vicious crashes requiring a full restore (lessened after 2.01) kept resetting standard icons to dock, so I quit rearranging dock icons for a couple weeks, on the off chance that my icon rearranging was breaking something. I've got iOF back in dock now, though, where it should be!

ohammersmith 2008-08-14 03:33 PM

Yes. It bumped Mobile Safari, for me.

HeadOn 2008-08-14 03:40 PM

daverobeson 2008-08-14 04:50 PM

MacBerry 2008-08-14 04:54 PM

No because I don't open it as often as the apps that are on there, but it is on page one of four.

sgecko 2008-08-14 05:57 PM

Juddbert 2008-08-17 01:49 AM

Yes! It toppled iPod.

dryver8 2008-08-18 07:46 AM

on the dock, but a question, hope the OF team sees this. I did not know 1.03 had been released until reading on the forums, the app stire never showed me an update, which leads to my question - IF OF is on the dock and not on one of your "home" screens, does it not find it as an app to update? anyone else have the same problem? 1.02 update came thru, after getting 1.02 I move OF to my dock, then it never gave me the 1.03 update?

boris.baesler 2008-08-18 07:51 AM

Oh yes!

It's Phone, SMS, Calendar, OmniFocus

Orc 2008-08-20 04:28 AM

Yes.
iPod went away.

(BTW 4 apps in the dock is too few IMHO, as is the iPhones crappy behavior of moving apps around as soon as an app gets an update)

peteypolo 2008-08-20 07:24 PM

Yes.

My dock has phone, mail, ical, and OF.

vincentkeunen 2008-08-22 07:13 AM

Chris Leduc 2008-08-22 12:00 PM

Oh yeah ;-)
OmniFocus kicked Safari out of the dock, and it kicked lazyness and forgetfulness out of my life!

jdh 2008-09-04 08:22 PM

I haven't re-arranged my dock, primarily since I've been using the iPhone for so long I've become habitually accustomed to the default layout from the days when you couldn't change it.

However, I tend to organize my home screens into distinct categories anyway.... Screen #1 is my "working" screen, which contains frequently-used apps and work-related apps.... Since my brain is locked on the default layout that I lived with for the first six months of iPhone use, I've kept the standard apps that I do use in their default locations, and swapped out the ones that I don't use to replace them with more useful ones. Hence, OF actually replaces the YouTube icon in that location, Contacts replaces Stocks, and so forth.

My second screen consists of reference applications and other secondary apps that are used a bit less frequently, and my third screen consists of games. The fourth screen is miscellaneous apps.... mostly those apps that I'm trying out at any given time that have not yet found a permanent place on my iPhone.

I spend 90% of my time on Home Screen #1 anyway, and tend to habitually return to it by default whenever putting the iPhone away.

oschultz 2008-09-05 10:10 AM

yes

HiramvdG 2008-09-06 06:31 AM

I wish OmniFocus had a prettier icon, though.

Christopher 2008-09-06 06:57 AM

No - it's on page one, though.

UniqueAndreas 2008-09-08 04:27 AM

Yes - I dropped iPod

Zoolok 2008-09-10 10:44 AM

Yes - iPod on the double click!
Now I'm considering putting Twitterific alongside it to redress the balance: Productivity enhancer vs Productivity stopper!

Jon C 2008-09-12 05:50 PM

yep

Christopher 2008-09-13 06:34 AM
Yes - iPod on the double click!
I forgot you could do that. I'm changing my vote to yes.

anon 2008-09-13 07:05 AM
