Quick Entry_Simple Question
I know the answer to this question is brutally simple and I'm ready to take the heat. Here it is...when I'm in the Quick Entry mode and I'm ready to add another item do I hit return? I figured you would use this method since that's how it works in in the inbox mode. But when I hit return the screen closes and I have to reopen the quick entry window.

To make Return make a new row instead of saving:
- OmniFocus > Preferences... > General > Quick Entry: uncheck "Return should also save and exit" To make a new row if you want to keep Return to mean save and exit: - hit Cmd-Return instead of Return. [edit: this last one appears to work no longer in current builds (though you can still Shift-Return to insert a row above, rather than below...)] [edit again: Ctrl-Return is what I was looking for] |
Craig,
Thanks I new it was simple. |
Try Control-Return rather than Command-Return to create a new row after the current one in QE.

That's it - thanks Curt.

Is there some reason it can't be the same as in the app?
This seems like an unnecessary complication. -P |
Is there some reason it can't be the same as in the app?
This seems like an unnecessary complication. -P
A bunch of folks really like the Quicksilver-like behavior of saving on return. Being a long-time OmniOutliner user, I've got the preferences switched to make QE act more like the main app. |
