Potential Fix for MobileMe Sync Issue

I have been using OmniFocus for quite some time, and syncing with my iPhone through MobileMe. A couple days ago I all of the sudden got the following error messages when trying to sync:

Unable to read document.

OR

No root transactions found in https://idisk.me.com/username/Documents/OmniFocus.ofocus/

I read the forums, and tried lots of suggestions, but nothing was working for me. After a day of trouble shooting I surrendered. I decided to sync my mac with my iPhone via Bonjour. This worked without a problem. Later that day I was curious to see if my MobileMe sync might now work. Sure enough, I reconfigured back to MobileMe and everything synced perfectly!

My theories:
1.) By changing the sync method to one that worked, it allowed for the database to fix the root transaction hiccup.
2.) It could have been simply an issue with the MobileMe server that day, which just needed some time to correct itself.

Would love to hear if anyone else has had this issue, or still having this issue, and if temporarily switching the sync method fixes the issue with MobileMe.

The "unable to read document" error may just have been the MobileMe server failing to respond to your sync request in a timely manner.

As far as the "Root Transactions" problem: did you have the feature mentioned in this sticky post enabled on any of your Macs? If so, the steps in that post will help you prevent the problem from happening again...

No posted fixes were working for me...

Thanks Brian for the reply. I did see/apply this post when I was troubleshooting, but it didn't work for me.
