Backup via WebDav

Hi guys,

I am sorry if I am asking for something that has probably been answered. I just couldn't find a suitable answer in the posts.

I use Omnifocus in my iPhone. I back it up via WebDav. I was able to setup the alerts, the sync, etc. Now, suppose my app (in the iPhone) crashes, or my data gets deleted somehow or I perform am upgrade and my tasks disappear. How can I recover what is saved (backed up) in my server and put it back in my iPhone? What would the steps be?

Obviously, I don't have a Mac. I am saving to buy one, believe it or not, mainly to use the desktop version.

Thanks for your help

When you reinstall OmniFocus (or tap the Reset Database button in Settings), you'll be asked whether you'd like to set up synchronization or make a new empty database. Choose "Set Up Sync", then choose "Set Up Manually", enter the details of your sync server, and press the Save button (in the top right corner).

That's all you have to do: OmniFocus will download your synchronized database, optimize it for faster access, and then you'll see the OmniFocus home screen with your restored data.

Hope this helps!

HI Ken,

thanks so much for the support. I used Mac before but quit using them after the Mac Cube. I am buying one so I may use your excellent application. You guys rock!
