You must have OmniFocus 1.1 on your Mac in order for it to do any syncing.
The iPhone version will sync with WebDAV regardless of whether or not you have any Macs running OmniFocus 1.1 or syncing to that same WebDAV. Of course, if it's the only device syncing there, the WebDAV becomes more of just a back up than a sync server.
