Isn't that what whpalmer4 suggested back on post 3 of this thread? It seems pretty clear to me; a link is always created when dragging unless you hold the option key. When using the Edit -> Attach File command, simply select the desired option from the file selection sheet.

Question for Ken/OmniGroup-are there any plans for expanding the supported viewer list to include OmniOutliner Pro documents? I realize you all cannot include viewers for every file format, but it seems logical to include support for the Omni apps.

I believe that we have not actually written the viewer code for any of these files ourselves. We have just been connecting to existing tools. If we write any viewers ourselves, I suspect that OmniOutliner (and OmniGraffle) would be at the top of our list.
