See only active projects' tasks in context view?

I think this change came in with 1.9. Before, the list of actions in the Context view were limited to those in Active projects. To use the lingo from the iPad app, it only showed available and blocked actions, but not future or on-hold items. Now on the Mac, choosing 'Remaining' in the Availability filter in the context view shows all remaining actions from all of my remaining projects, including Pending and On-Hold ones.

For my part, I actually prefer the older behavior (though I can see why some people might prefer the behavior in 1.9). Does anyone know if there's any way to configure things to get the old behavior?

I'm not aware of a way to get the old behavior back, but it would still be worth emailing the support ninjas and letting them know that you prefer the old way.

Two reasons here: if there is one I'm not recalling, they'll know about it, and it can't hurt to record your feedback/preference for the old behavior just in case other folks feel the same way. Thanks!

1.8.2's Context perspective showed remaining actions as well, but remaining actions in context mode didn't include projects that are on hold, dropped, or pending. It *did* include actions which were pending.

1.9 added this change:
Remaining items in context mode now include items from pending
projects, not just active projects.
but there's either a bug in the release notes or the code, because it also added items from on hold projects. Pending and on hold are two different concepts, as a quick look at the Sidebar filter in Project mode will show. This change was put in to make the Mac and the iPad work more similarly, I think, but there's an element of "rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic" here because it appears to introduce a new difference!
