We have a bug on the problem. Probably not for 5.6 but as we start updating the Workspace interface and how they behave in the app I would expect this to be sorted out.

If you are updating the Workspace interface, will this workaround even be needed any more?

Well perhaps not :)

But the behavior is still a bug that I'd like to see fixed.
