Cursor color
 

I'm relatively certain that this isn't built into OmniOutliner, but I like to write things up with light on black, terminal style. It's easier on my eyes. The obvious problem is that OmniFocus can't change the cursor color from black.

Are there any workarounds for this?

You could toggle on the system-wide white on black setting (if it doesn't freak you out too much) when using OmniOutliner. It is a part of the [B]System Preferences>Universal Access>Seein[/B]g settings.
