Double click on tab bar = new tab?
 

I'd love to see a feature where when you double click on an empty part of the tab bar, a new blank tab appears.

Until it does, a right click anywhere in the sidebar (including on another tab) will give you a new tab option to pick. Unless you do it near the bottom of the drawer/screen, that option is right next to the pointer in the menu.
