Question about capability

My goal is to create usable flows for an app. For example, touching a box links to the next screen, etc. Does the omnigraffle app on iPad allow this? I have been reading reviews that Keynote iPad app does not allow hyperlinking between slides. Will Omnigraffle allow this?

Also are there generic shapes for iPhone UI elements that can be loaded for this?

OmniGraffle for Mac supports this kind of interactive linking (the app calls them "actions"), but we weren't able to fit that feature in before the iPad launch deadline.

If you'd like to see support for them appear in the iPad application, send email to the support ninjas; they can add a vote to the development database on your behalf. Thanks very much!

iPhone and iPad app design stencils are available at http://www.graffletopia.com/ and at http://konigi.com/. Information on getting them loaded into the iPad application is available in this sticky post.

Hope this helps!

I forgot to ask: If I create the file using OmniGraffle on the desktop with actions to jump to different canvases, for example, will they work on the iPad? Or is the file simply stripped of all actions created on the desktop?

There won't be any way to trigger the actions on the iPad, however the actions should remain intact, they won't be stripped out of the document.
