OmniWeb RSS vulnerability?

There are reports of an unpatched Safari RSS vulnerability here:

The post claims that Omniweb is as vulnerable as Safari, although Firefox, Camino and Opera are not. What is the situation on the security of OmniWeb?

Bump... I'd like to know what the situation here is too.

was just coming in to post about this and ask. Looking forward to hearing.

In the meantime, I've followed the advice and set NetNewsWire to be my default app for all three URL types specified.

I am not sure about internals but Omniweb's RSS support is way older than Safari.
Omniweb doesn't use Safari engine to handle RSS. I am not totally sure how things are done internally but we (OW) users were enjoying Safari style RSS detection and display in bookmarks way before Safari or Firefox implemented them.

I just want to mention in here that OmniWeb RSS is not impacted by this vulnerability, the risk is that some feeds can still be associated with Safari even if it isn't the default feed reader. (The article above does describe how to work around this however.)

Thanks for finally answering this Troy!
