Outdent with External Keyboard?
What is the keyboard shortcut for Outdent.
Tab indents, and I would've thought Shift + Tab Outdents, but it doesn't. Anybody unlocked this? -Thanks. |
Got it! It's the "Delete" button.

Or if you have the small bluetooth apple keyboard with no 'delete' key then it's a combination of command-up arrow and then backspace.
It should have been shift-tab, of course, as that is the standard in many, many apps. |

We wanted to use Shift-Tab, but it's not a recognized keyboard shortcut on iPad (and there's no way to define new keyboard shortcuts). So right now we just have Tab at the beginning of a line to indent, and Delete at the beginning of a line to outdent. |
Interesting Ken. Surprised modifier keys are not treated as such on the iPad. Then again, not really. iOS seems to suffer from loads of non-PC related issues. Thanks for the heads up and, of course, the ongoing hard work.

Heard this from other suppliers too. It's an apple thing and they need to fix that. It's silly to not have both <tab> and <shift-tab> available to app developers. J. |
