due soon count mismatch between iphone and mac

today i noticed that there was a different number of due items on the dock badge from the iphone application badge and it seems to be that the iphone combines overdue and due soon items whereas the mac dock icon only shows the overdue items.

the strange thing is when i tried to find the mac app preferences to try to unify the indicator it seems to already be set to show 'due and due soon items in dock'.

any idea on why this is happening? both badges look the same in read but when i open the iphone app i find that the correct number is shown as overdue apart from the 'due soon' number.

can anyone explain this and if i am missing something?

thanks

for me, this happens when events have a start date after the current date, yet they're due in the next x hours, where x = when due soon is active on the iphone.

For example, my weekly review starts at 12:00 AM Sunday and is due on 3 PM Sunday. That's in the next 24 hours, so my iPhone reports it as "due soon" even though I can't see it.

For me, it appears that my desktop is counting the project as well as the actions within the project in the side bar (but not in the dock). The iphone is just counting the actions.

Currently:

iphone overdue 8
dock overdue 8
project overdue 9

The Due Soon count appears to do the same thing (though not visible in the dock).

Help please?

First off, I'm a new user and I thank you in advance for your patience.

Well,I'm on the same boat! While my iphone shows the tomorrow action ,desktop marks it orange but doesn't show on dock.
My settings are the same for both iphone and desk (two days) and desktop marked to show both due and due soon. As you can see, the item due soon (tomorrow) is not showed on dock/bar. Iphone lists four actions and desktop only 3,the overdue only !Can anyone give me some tips?

Zoso777, when you saw this, had your computer woken from sleep? There's a bug over in another thread that we're trying to get a reproducible test case on which could cause the symptoms you're having.

I'm not positive that's what you're seeing, but it seems possible. Can you let me know if any of the suggestions Ken makes in post #20 in that thread get the dock/menu item to display properly?

Combined threads.

Thanks Brian,
The computer woken from sleep but I did quit Omni and restarted with no luck.
I will take a look and let you know.

The iPhone badge is configured by default to show the total count of Overdue and Due Soon actions, but the dock badge on the Mac shows just one group's total at a time, changing color to indicate which group it's showing (red for Overdue, orange for Due Soon, gray for Inbox).

Does that match what you're seeing?

Well,I've done the suggestions in post#20 and still not fine. It should display 4 instead of 3.

Hi Ken,
I understand what you say, but it's only showing the Overdue group since I've got one Due Soon not displayed.
