newbie question

I poked around a bit, but didn't find an answer--I'm rather bewildered (startled?) at the number of versions of OmniF available. Is there any one version that is available and more stable than others?

I am the sole user of a Mac in my office, and since I do all my own tech support, I'm hesitant to download and run something with "vapor" in the file name :)

Feel free to taunt my n00b-ness.

Omni has been posting new builds as they add features, squash bugs, refine the UI, etc. Using the latest build is generally best. Once you download one build, its auto-update feature will let you get the latest. And it will show you release notes indicating what has changed each day.

I've been using OmniFocus since May, and I've only once lost data. That may well have been user error. It has been exceptionally stable for alpha software.

We do call it "vapor" and "beta" instead of "Final" and "stable" on purpose. It's under active development, so any given build could be accidentally destructive. We have had a few reports of users' data spontaneously disappearing, so PLEASE backup your data if your day will be ruined if it gets lost.
