Preferences Corrupted?
 

Ok here we go...

OmniWeb 5.5 registered copy - downloaded today. It is running with a Personal license on a Mac Mini (spec's below) and a PowerBook G4. Both Preference configuration are exactly the same.

Preferences file corrupted?

1) Even though “Tab drawer opens on the: right” is set, the Tab drawer will not open up on the Right. If I play around with it enough it will work for that session, but will not work when OW is started again. This is only happening on a Mac Mini, and not on the PowerBook.


2) Preferences "Start page: Empty". OW still brings up a bunch of tabs on startup (Apple sites). This is only happening on a Mac Mini, and not on a PowerBook.

3) Edit Save Applications List…
Will not except added programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Office 2004) but will accept Adobe programs (Illustrator). This is happening on both computers.

2 sounds like a saved snapshot in your workspace.
1 might be as well...

Defaultowworkspace file corrupted
 

Well,

it looks like the Defaultowworkspace file was corrupted. I also removed two Apple.html files from the BookmarksFolder.

It seems to work now. What an installation!
