Make label below icon
Newbie question..
On some of the stencils I've used, such as "Network 3D", have the label placed below the image. This works very well for adding a name or IP address to an object. Some other stencil sets I have tried place the label right in the middle of the image, overlapping it. I can always add separate text below the image, but then it's two different objects to move around. Is there a way I can add the label below an image/object? |
Same question here...
Yea...I'm new to Omnigraffle as well and have the same question...any easy way to make this happen (without creating a new text object and just grouping)?
Thanks. -Derek |
Draw the shape.
Add the text in the center by double clicking on the shape and then typing in the text. Click on the Text Inspector. Notice the Text Offset area. Uncheck "Use Default Offsets" Adjust the Y value to what you need. I drew a square, adjusted the Y to 60% and the text appeared below the box. |
Thanks for your reply.
I attempted to follow your instructions, but this appears to be a PRO only feature?! I'm very surprised that you can't perform this sort of basic operation with the normal (non-pro) version. Any comments from the Omni folks on this? Thanks. -Derek |
