unflagging a repeating task and completing at the same time?
In my workflow I make use of a Perspective depending on flagged available repeating tasks. I flag a task when I want to select it for doing today, but when I complete it, I don't want the flag to persist on the repeated task. On the iPhone app, I can do this by editing the task, removing the flag and then ticking the check box. On the Mac, this works because changed tasks in a Perspective hang around until I change Perspectives. Therefore, the edited unflagged task doesn't disappear from the Perspective right away, so I can still complete it and have the repeated task in my list without a flag.
On the iPad, I can't seem to do this! When I edit a task I can remove the flag but upon closing it the task disappears from the Perspective. When I first complete it, it also disappears from the Perspective because it is no longer available, but then the repeated task has a flag that I don't want to be there. I could search for the repeated task in the project list, but that's a *big* hassle. Am I missing something here? Any suggestions how I could solve this? |
Hm, just realized I could include remaining flagged tasks in my Perspective instead of only available, and then unflagging the repeated task. The way I use this I would only have 1 unavailable flagged task in my list, so it doesn't add clutter to the Perspective.
