Focused tab
 

Am I missing something? I can't find a way to stay focused on my present tab while adding other tabs (to be read later). I find it very annoying to be reading something, click a link on the page and then have to go back to my original page. I know I can control this with other browsers, so I assume I'm the problem. Help please.

Hold down the Apple/command key while clicking the link.

The Command-Click behavior is defined in the Tab and Window preference pane (it's possible to have it not open windows in a background tab).

You can also drag links to the tab drawer to have them open in the background.
