Printing font too small

I can't seem to get the printing fonts in Omnioutliner to be the same size as the onscreen fonts. Or, for that matter, just a reasonably sized font. I'm using Helvetica 14 onscreen. Works fine on my large monitor. But fonts in printed documents are very small. I can find no settings buttons in either the page setup menu item or the print menu item that would let me set the print fonts or, for that matter, make them the same size as the onscreen fonts.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm using 3.9.5 on a MacPro running the latest Snow Leopard OS.

There's a reasonable technique described here:

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried it but it looks to be a script for Pro. I'm using OmniOutliner. When I type the script it can't find OmniOutliner.

Sound right?

Just change OmniOutlinerPro3 to OmniOutliner3 and you'll be golden.

I hate to harp on this but it still doesn't work. I changed the application item to OmniOutliner3 and the AppleScript I wrote compiled. Just fine. To that degree it did work. But there is no button on the toolbar to add the applescript item nor is there one in the customizable bin.

So I'm about to conclude that's a Pro feature, not a 3 feature. And am about to check on that.

Thanks,

John

You do have to actually install the button :-)

Save the script in Library/Scripts/Applications/OmniOutliner in your home directory. You'll probably have to create the OmniOutliner folder before you can do so. Now when you launch OmniOutliner, you can click on View->Customize Toolbar... and add the button for the script to your toolbar.

It's definitely not a pro-only feature; I verified it with a copy of OmniOutliner earlier today.

As for your point about installing the button, I did. It just didn't show up. Though I had to figure out the installation process. It took a couple of application restarts (for other reasons) for it to show up in the customization window. Just kept looking

I see that it's not a Pro feature only now. Unfortunately, while it is now a clickable item on the toolbar, it doesn't help the printing. Some other work has gotten in the way of working on this problem, but I'm going to try to fiddle with it later this afternoon or tonight. Just pop in some outrageous font sizes and see what happens.

Thanks for all the help.

John
