Importing Text
I just downloaded a trial copy of Outliner and tried to import a text file but it is grayed out in the dialog.
Is this because I don't have a licensed product and will I be able to import text when I have a license? TIA Michael |
What kind of text file, exactly, and how is it named? The demo shouldn't work any differently than the licensed version in this regard.

Importing Text
The text document has a MS Word .doc title but I also have a Plain Text document that does not have a suffix and is also grayed out.
Thanks for the help Michael |
Put a .txt extension on the Plain Text document and you should be able to open it.

Tried putting a .txt extension on the Plain Text file and it is still grayed out in the "Open" dialog. Any further ideas would be most welcome.

What did you use to create this file? I just selected all the text in this thread, used the services menu to send it to TextEdit, converted to plain text and saved it. I selected the resultant file in the Finder, did File->Open With... and selected OmniOutliner and it worked as expected.
