Connecting FeedBurner to OmniWeb - use XML
 

I'm an RSS newbie, having subscribed to only a dozen feeds. In each of those cases, I clicked an RSS orange icon, and OmniWeb has offered to save the feed in my bookmarks.

I just clicked an RSS icon, which turned out to be a link to a [URL="http://feeds2.feedburner.com/arbp"]Feedburner page[/URL] offering buttons to subscribe using a variety of newsreaders ... but no OmniWeb. After poking around, I got brave and clicked the "View Feed XML" link. Voila! OmniWeb's RSS dropdown dialog appeared.

Perhaps the next OW RSS newbie will find this helpful.

View Feed XML doesn't always work
 

I searched this forum for help with Feedburner and was surprised to find this thread I opened last August. I took the occasion to update the link in my original note.

Although the "View Feed XML" link still works with OW 5.9.2 SP on the earlier page, is not working on this similar-looking [URL="http://feeds2.feedburner.com/24thfloor"]Feedburner page[/URL]. When I clicked the "View Feed XML" link, I expected to see OmniWeb's RSS dropdown dialog. Instead, the Feedburner page redisplayed with a new URL (http://feeds2.feedburner.com/24thfloor?format=xml), and the "View Feed XML" link is missing.

Is this a broken Feedburner page? an OmniWeb problem? the wrong phase of the moon?

Is there another way to get Feedburner to play nice with OmniWeb?
