Can't figure out how the lines work
 

Hello. Sorry if it's something obvious, but I still can't get it.
When I try to connect the shapes with one another and draw the line, the program rearranges the whole document in some new way.

Haha, thanks and sorry! Before posting I did try the forum search - to no effect, but maybe thats because of my bad English, maybe the search request should have been different.

Not your fault at all. As you can see, many others have also found it hard to make sense of what is happening, or find a path to solutions or help.

Automatic Layout once featured quite prominently in the marketing, but somehow never seemed quite as prominent in priorities for development and support.

Perhaps OG 6 will fix this ?
