Omnifocus for Client Status Tracking

Not sure if this can be done with OmniFocus, but I thought I'd ask here.

If I have multiple clients (let's say 50) and I want to track the history of what's been done for each client (i.e. emailed about this, talked with them about this, etc).

Then I'd like to be able to see an overview of what status all clients as at, as well as each client individually.

Yes, I think you could do that. The simplest form might be to have a project per client (or a folder of projects per client). You could put together a perspective that shows completed work grouped by project and sorted by completion date within the groups to get your history view, and a perspective that shows the next action for each project as your status overview. To see these on a per-client basis, you would just select the client's project(s) in the sidebar once you had opened the perspective.

Part of my job is like that (and is grouped in a subfolder "external" in my folder "work"), I think the suggestions above are spot on.

I would also suggest a "Waiting for client" context and integrate this in your meeting prep or weekly review or reports.
