Syncing has become unstable

I'm syncing using MobileMe and it used to work great but now it's unstable and unusable.

- Syncing on the iPhone never completes. The spinner just spins and the phone is never updated with tasks I have on my Mac.

- Syncing on the Mac pegs my CPU and kicks on the fans. Also, it no longer shows a status bar and takes about 20 minutes to finish. My database is only 3.4 MB.

I'm thinking about dropping back down to a more "stable" alpha. The last few have been tough. :)

I suspect it's not so much that our alphas have gotten less stable, as that your data is growing. We've found a performance issue that we're working on right now.

Also, 3.4 MB is actually HUGE for an OmniFocus database unless you have a lot of embedded attachments. You should probably make use of the script here: http://forums.omnigroup.com/showthread.php?t=9145

The performance issue should be fixed in today's alpha builds (103663 or later).

Thanks for the response and you were correct it had to do with the amount of files on my iDisk. I backed them up and the cleared them all and things sped right back up.

Thanks for putting out a fix!

Still useless for me!

I ran the script from that earlier thread and installed the new build and my app still refuses to sync with my desktop (progress circle just spins and spins). I love this program and I know you guys are working every day but I am growing tired of it not working...I mean, for an iPhone app it's on the pricey side yet isn't fully functional.

Nerdist: please send an email to urgent@omnigroup.com so we can help you out promptly. It's just too hard to diagnose some of these issues on a forum.
