Interactive Export
Hey guys,
I was just wondering if there was a way to export from OmniGraffle Pro as interactive files, for example when clicking on a shape layers will be hidden or shown, other than exporting as an OmniGraffle file? A PDF would be ideal (or at least some kind of file that can be used on the web or embedded in a PDF) but I don't know whether this is possible. I want to make a map where clicking on a country will show layers that have details about the country show up and then have an "x" box in the top corner to cancel it (like on the Apple website when they have product pictures or videos, etc.) Any suggestions? |
I've done this - partly - with PDFs.
The "Jumps Elsewhere" works in PDFs. I have created interactive wireframes (low fidelity, mind you) this way. It's not everything you are asking, but you can build out some interaction that way and it's a PDF that can be shared HTH --Morgan |
Hmmm.....
That actually sounds quite useful... How did you do that Morgan?
Does OG automatically do layers when you export as a PDF? |
If you use multiple canvases and then "Jump Elsewhere" to those canvases, the PDF is a set of pages and the links work to move you from page to page. Scaling the PDF viewer (e.g. Preview) to whole page gets you the effect you want.
Using Shared Layers carefully on multiple canvases allows you to quickly draw the main frame so it is consistent between the screens. |
