Archiving Tasks

I run a small CPA firm and my project is the whole year with each task being a client. Then sub-tasks represent tasks for a particular client. For example, early in the year it is to clean up their accounting, then issue Forms 1099, then meet with client for tax interview, etc.

First, is there a better way to structure this?

Second, when I am done with a task or task is there a way to move it to some archive file?

Thanks,

Steve

Just a suggestion: you may not want to archive. You may just want to export the finished year with that client into a PDF for their file. This might also help for various legal reasons & it should make next year easier to set up for them. As you mark the "sub-tasks" as you say, "100% complete" it should track that for you and show you where you are with that client.

About the template: just create a generic series of events (be sure you specify the dependencies, efforts, costs, etc). Then go to File : Save As Template. You can either use it as a template or copy/paste it under a "group" that you are using as a "client".

I hope that helps.
