OmniWeb 5.10.2 now available.
 

Hi Everyone,

In case you haven't been following along with our sneaky peeks, we've just released OmniWeb 5.10.2 as a final release. This collects many of our changes over the last year into a stable release for all to enjoy. The changes are numerous so I'll just point at the full release notes and downloads which can be found here:

This release includes an out of date version of WebKit, we didn't want to risk destabilizing OmniWeb and further delaying a release so it's as is at the moment. Updating WebKit is at the top of our list and I'l let you al know when I have more information.

I still love this browser despite the slowed development. It loads faster than Safari or Firefox, is customizable on a site by site basis and has the best sidebar tab system of anybody. I wonder if OmniGroup would be amenable to making this browser an Open Source project that would allow developers outside the OG staff to work on it? This is just too good a browser to let languish.

Still the best browser on any platform anywhere. Thanks Omnigroup.

I still would like to see OmniWeb 6 or 5.11, but this release works much better
than 5.10.1 did on Snow Leopard. As I stated in an earlier post the Jon Hicks
theme is now incompatible unless you just manually install the original icons.
