Question
Does OmniFocus for iPhone and/or iPad support importing tasks from email as the desktop version does? Thanks

No, not in the same way. There's nothing like the Clip-o-tron, and there's nothing like the feature where suitably formatted and addressed emails can be automatically converted into actions. Mail on iOS doesn't support rules that run user-supplied scripts, and one application can only reach inside another application in a limited set of ways, which pretty much rules out the various clipping features.
You can use the send-to-omnifocus@omnigroup.com email address to get smaller items into OmniFocus without involving a Mac. Simply send an email to that address, the body containing the text you want to put in OmniFocus, and you'll get an email back with a link on which you click (when reading on a device that has OmniFocus installed!). There appears to be a length limit of somewhat less than 1k characters. You can read the original announcement thread here. |
