you can reveal notes
 

in the project view, select a task. Select the entire task. Do not place the cursor inside the task name. Go to Edit/select all, then hit command+'. This will display all notes of all tasks in the current view. When you close and relaunch, you will return to this view and all notes will continue to be displayed.
