Importing Excel File to OmniGraffle for an Org Chart

In Visio, there is an Org Chart wizard in which you import an Excel Spreadsheet and it creates an Org Chart. As seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCMWCBLl7Q4

Does anyone know if this is possible in OmniGraffle?

Please and Thank You!!

Does anyone know the answer to this?

If not, is there another way to just type name/title instead of clicking on the boxes?

Use the outlining column view and the keyboard commands to add siblings, aunts, etc. I assume you're using one of the org chart document templates.

To add name + title when typing in a box, type the name followed by command-return and the title.

OmniGraffle is in many ways an excellent piece of software, but its automatic layout engine (Graphviz-based) isn't able to produce a conventional org-chart layout. (It offers orthogonal connectors, but can't allocate space orthogonally, and the results can be quite eccentric).

There are other tools available for OS X which can generate conventional org-charts a bit more easily. Xmind, for example, which has a free version, might be worth looking at, otherwise, perhaps the various SmartArt options in MS Office.

(Orgcharts have now been de-emphasised in the marketing presentation of OmniGraffle).
