Default start date
Whenever I create a new task or project, I usually set the start date for "Today." There does not seem to be a default setting for task start dates. Is there a script out there that would allow me to have such a setting?
Thanks, Daniel. |
I don't have an answer on the script front, but FWIW, the general point of a start date is to be able to hide items that aren't yet available, so you won't need to wade through a bunch of actions that aren't applicable yet. Unless you have some other compelling use for start date, I would suggest that you not bother to set start dates for items that start immediately.

Andrew, yes, I agree - it's just that I find that I can start most actions as soon as possible - so having "today" as a default makes sense. If the item is not available then I would delete it. It's just that the way I work, I would be deleting less then typing "Today." That's all.

why not just leave the start date blank, only the tasks you want to hide for a future date need to have start dates.

All tasks automatically have a creation date, which can used as a proxy for a start date (for reporting purposes, for example) if no start date is specified.

I have 2 dates on 1 form.
A starting date and an end date. The end date should not be higher than the start date. How do I realise this in access |
