growl won't prowl
 

When I click on a growl alert and OF opens, a new window appears with a focused view in a certain perspective which does not include the task. It is always the same perspective and I think it's the same focus, too (no example to look at right now). How is it supposed to work?

That's a bug, one I run into (and complain about) frequently, but Omni tells me they can't reproduce it. When it happens to me, I find that it also happens with the New Window command. Send in a bug report with Help->Send Feedback, maybe they'll try harder if someone else complains too :-)

When you don't have a focused window in your window set (or the bug isn't happening to you) you should get a window that shows the item mentioned in the growl notification, even if it has to change the view bar to show completed items.

I've also noticed (and reported) that links to items in the Inbox do not work properly, and that means that a growl notification for an item in the Inbox will not work properly. It's a bit puzzling that they didn't get this right, because the link includes the internal object identifier for the item from the XML file and it would thus seem to be straightforward to find it using the same code that is used for everything else under the sun...
