omniplan and omnifocus
I thought I heard somewhere that omniplan and omnifocus work together somehow. It would seem kind of ridiculous to have these two products in the suite and not have them inter-operate. Can someone please let me know what to do? Thanks!

I understand that Omni are developing a Syncing function. In the meanwhile, here is an applescript which copies whatever is selected in OmniPlan over to OmniFocus: http://forums.omnigroup.com/showthread.php?t=15448 And here is another which copies whatever is selected in OmniFocus over to OmniPlan: http://forums.omnigroup.com/showthread.php?t=15447 (There are various other ways of moving data back and forth without syncing). |
Has there been a change yet on this capability? I'm looking at OP for a project I am working on right now, and would like the capability to have the tasks I am working on, and the tasks that others are working on and on which my work depends, transfer over from OP to OF with a simple menu selection. Is the integration of these two products to this point yet?

I second the motion for tight integration between OmniFocus and OmniPlan
I use both tools almost daily as I'm constantly putting small task lists together for iOS programming estimates. When client commissions a job, I'd love to be able to automatically have my schedule moved over into OmniFocus for tracking as I make progress. At the same time, when I move through tasks, it would be nice if the updates went back to OmniPlan including the information about how long it actually took, based on when I checked-off an item.
How about OG? When can we have this level of integration? -SMJ |
For big project planning, and I mean BIG PROJECTS, I am trying out OmniPlan, the Mac version of Microsoft Project. Since I use one laptop for everything, having my todo list in the computer has been great.
