Metadata in Titles/Comments

Is there a way include metadata tags so the data represented by the tag appears where the tag is embedded?

For example, I want to include the document version in a title. In OmniGraffle I would use %Version in angle brackets.

The only variables currently offered in OO3 are in the header and footer interface of the pro version.
