Word/Tag clouds
I'm quite interested in generating a word or tag cloud from the OmniFocus database, I can extract the text OK and know how to generate links back to the correct task/project etc.
The piece I don't have (and don't really want to re-invent) is something that can turn this data into a nicely presented word cloud from some sort of text file. Is there an application for this or good open source library that anyone knows of? |
What about PyTagCloud?

That looks perfect, thanks! |
The PyTagCloud output looks great but it creates an image.
What I'm hoping to find is a way I can feed it links so the items in the cloud are clickable and take you to the OmniFocus project/context etc. I did come across this which is a pretty simple starting point, it would take a lot of work to get it looking as good as PyTagCloud. |
As far as I remember PyTagCloud was able to output either an image or html.

For creating my OmniFocus task cloud wallpaper I used the PHP Word Cloud scripts. With this one it is also possible to create clickable image maps. Maybe this could be useful for you.

That looks interesting, I found quite a few other implementations but very few ran stand-alone and would mean anyone else using it would have to install all kinds of extra modules. I'll give it try, Thanks!
