Recovering data after system crash

Hello Everybody,

I have a MacBook with up to date Leopard OS and I have been using OmniFocus for about half a year. Two days ago HD in my laptop crashed. I need OmniFocus very badly as my whole private and company life is outsourced/stored there. I have found an old PowerBook G4 with 256MB RAM and 10.4.11 OS that I want to use temporary until my Mac is fixed. I have downloaded OmniFocus there and it works great but I can not restore my old data. I have tied to:

1. Copy all files from ~/Library/Application Support/OmniFocus/OmniFocus.ofocus I get window with 'Unrecognizable transaction file name '3ED8AD91-EE77-45F9-B0DB-5711270DEFF6_233CC290-0487-4A41-B586-5949B43FB86B.xml'

2. Restore database backup from ~/Documents/OmniFocus Backups/ after running brand new OmniFocus and I get 'Unrecognizable transaction file name '3ED8AD91-EE77-45F9-B0DB-5711270DEFF6_10A7C12A-A0AD-4803-9931-B52FEF69134C.xml'

As you see neither of that worked. Please, do help me.

Best regards,
Pawel Marzec, user from Poland

One simple thing to check would be that your laptop is running an up-to-date copy of the application. Another possibility would be that the version of the application installed on the new machine doesn't correspond to the version that you were running on the old machine.
